Mazlum Abdi, commander of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), slammed Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his "project to massacre our people," following a Turkish assault in northeast Syria that killed dozens of civilians, Reuters reported on Saturday November 2nd.

Asked by Italy's La Repubblica newspaper about Erdogan's wish to get him arrested, Abdi said "what else do you expect from a person who doesn't hide from the world his project to massacre our people."

Concerning Syria, Abdi said the political talks is the only way to resolve the Syrian crisis.

"We will not be party to an agreement that does not include the defence of our people and its political, administrative and cultural liberty," Abdi said.
