Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have attacked the Saudi airport of Abha, the official Saudi news agency said on Wednesday, June 12th, adding that 26 civilians had been wounded in the attack, according to a Reuters report.

The Arab Coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, responded to the attack in the following statement:

Terrorist Attack Targets Abha International Airport

Houthi missile remains have fallen in Abha Airport and injured 26 civilians, including three Saudi women and two children.

Houthi recognition of their involvement in targeting Abha International Airport holds them accountable for targeting civilians.

All terrorist members responsible for the planning and implementation of the terrorist attack on Abha airport will be held accountable in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Houthi recognition of their actions in targeting Abha International Airport proves their access to new types of weapons.

The Houthi attacks on Abha International Airport also demonstrate the Iranian regime's support of cross-border terrorism and its violation of Security Council resolutions.
