Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Sunday November 17th arrived in Berlin to take part in the G20 Compact with Africa (CwA), which is set to enhance economic cooperation with Africa and the G20 member states, Egyptian presidential spokesman said in a statement.

The CwA is set to encourage joint projects that would contribute to accelerating development in Africa. The initiative was initiated by Germany in 2017, during its presidency of the G20 summit, to back development in the Africa and attract investments to the states in the continent, spokesman Bassam Radi said.

During his visit, al-Sisi will also meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, within the framework of fostering bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields. They are set to discuss a number of issues of mutual concern at the regional and international levels.

The Egyptian president is set to meet with prominent businessmen and industrial companies, as part of the African country’s efforts to encourage investments and promote comprehensive development.
