All products traded in the markets of the United Arab Emirates, either locally manufactured or imported, are in conformity with their respective GSO standards approved by the UAE and the Gulf states, the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA) said on Friday, December 13th.

In a statement issued Friday, ESMA maintained that the factories’ production lines in the country are affiliated to global brand equities and that their production and manufacturing process are carried out in line with international standards and criteria, as well as with the proper licensing and supervision throughout the entire production chain, UAE news agency WAM reported.

ESMA, having monitored claims and rumours circulated via social networking websites about certain flawed products in the markets, is calling on everyone to ensure accuracy before promoting and disseminating information and to report directly to oversight bodies and official channels.

ESMA emphasised that the UAE standards and technical regulations guarantee production outputs that correspond to the best standards of product quality even in packaging, warehousing, transportation, and display operations, until they reach consumers.
