Dispute between India and Pakistan over reports of the kidnapping of two Hindu girls last week and the change of their religion in Pakistan, a Muslim-majority country.

The dispute began on Sunday when Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Sawaraj wrote on Twitter that she had asked the country's high commissioner in Islamabad to report about the allegations in a rare public intervention by a senior Indian official in Pakistan's internal affairs.

Police said they had recorded a report of kidnapping and robbery from the parents of the two girls and may be holding people.

Pakistani Information Minister Fuad Chowdhury said his country "fully supports the two girls," but called on India, which is predominantly Hindu, to pay attention to its Muslim community.
