The French minister of finance Bruno Le Maire said that the American threats to impose tariffs on French products are “unacceptable, reported AFP. 

Le Maire said that the European Union will be ready to face such actions.

The United States threatened on Monday, December 3rd, to impose 100 percent tariffs on French goods estimated at $2.4billion in retaliation for what the US called “discriminatory” digital service tax, reported AFP.

"In case of new American sanctions, the European Union would be ready to riposte," Le Maire told Radio Classique.
