A French diplomat source warned of the repercussions of another Brexit delay, saying on Saturday October 19th it would be in nobody's interest, Reuters reported, shortly after British lawmakers voted for a proposal forcing the prime minister to seek delay.
"France will consult with its European partners and cannot take a decision at this stage," the source said.
"A deal has been negotiated, it is up to the British Parliament to approve it or not, a meaningful vote is necessary," the source added.
British lawmakers on Saturday said that more time is required to study the contents of the Brexit deal Johnson earlier reached with the European Union.
Johnson, however, said, following the vote, that he would not seek a delay from the EU, AFP reported.
