Rockstar’s masterpiece Red Dead Redemption 2 may have picked up the most game awards last night including; Best Narrative, Best Score/Music, Best Performance by Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan and Best Audio Design but it was Santa Monica Studio’s epic Norse adventure, God of War, that took home Game of the Year!

God of War beat off some very stiff competition from, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Celeste, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Monster Hunter: World and Red Dead Redemption 2 to take home the coveted title and it also won Best Action/Adventure Game and Best Game Direction to boot.

There were also some big-name announcements and world premieres from developers including, a first look at Ubisoft’s Far Cry New Dawn. Bioware teased us with a new Dragon Age game, Crash Bandicoot Team Racing remake is officially coming in June 2019 and Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance 3 The Black Order is coming exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
2018 has been a standout year for video games and 2019 looks to be setting the bar even higher and I cannot wait.
