Inter Milan are believed to be preparing an offer to sign Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez on loan.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer. He joined the Manchester club from Arsenal in January 2018 in a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The club had high hopes for the Chilean international as they gave him the legendary number seven shirt which was worn by the likes of George Best, David Beckham, and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, he has failed to live up to expectations in Manchester and has scored only five goals in 45 appearances for the club.
Inter have already signed Romelu Lukaku from United and are now believed to be after the Chilean. Sanchez was not in the squad for United's 1-1 draw with Wolves on Monday, and AFP reported that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke after the game admitting that there was a chance that the striker will depart the club.
"Well, there's still a couple of weeks left of the transfer window and there is a chance," Solskjaer said. "Some clubs have shown interest in Alexis, so we'll see what happens. I can't update you more than that."
Sanchez has played in Italy with Udinese between the years 2006 and 2011. A return to Serie A could help rebuild his confidence after a torrid year and a half at Old Trafford.
