Brexit Prime Minister Boris Johnson sent a separate note to the European Union on Saturday October 19th saying that he did not want a Brexit delay, after he failed to persuade lawmakers to back his divorce deal, a government source said, according to Reuters.

The note was attached to an unsigned letter requesting a Brexit extension, as British MPs voted earlier on Saturday for a proposal obliging Johnson to send a Brexit extension request to the EU.

Johnson, however, said, following the vote, that he would stick to the Brexit deadline on October 31st, AFP reported.
