Uncertainty has dominated the future of the Brazilian international Neymar, given the hot race to sign the Paris Saint-Germain superstar between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Neymar’s fate should be decided before September 2nd, the final day in the transfer window in Spain and France,
According to Reuters on Saturday August 10th, A source at PSG raised more doubts about Neymar, confirming that the Brazilian will not play in Sunday's season opener for the French champions against Nîmes Olympique, as speculation continues to swirl over whether or not he will remain with the club.
"It is important we make a decision swiftly. We are still in talks over moving things forward, to see if he will stay or not," said the source, adding it was important that the PSG team "stays focused on the championship", adding "Neymar is not in top physical condition."
He has expressed his desire to re-join his ex-club Barcelona, two years after departing the Catalan team to PSG in a €222 million record deal. But things did not go well, as PSG management opposed selling the player to Barcelona, and this gave an opportunity to the rivals Real Madrid to sign Neymar and deal a blow to the Blaugrana.
