The latest Qatari leaks regarding resolving the Doha crisis with “sisterly Saudi Arabia, without [involving] the three [other] countries is another quest by Doha to drive a wedge and evade the obligations,” UAE State Minister for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said on Saturday December 14th.
UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar since June 2017, as they all agreed on the need to pressurize Qatar into stopping sponsoring terrorism and harbouring fugitives.
Gargash, on his Twitter account, hailed the role of Saud Arabia in “leading a broad front” of other countries concerning the issue of Qatar and other regional issues, affirming Riyadh’s “essential and solid commitment to the demands and the allies.”
Last Tuesday, Gargash said that the way to solve the Qatari crisis is to resolve the roots and causes of the problem. He affirmed that the crisis continues but “every crisis comes to an end.”
He affirmed that “honest and sustainable solutions are in the interests of the region.”
