Saudi Arabia will provide the UN Security Council with a final report on Iran's attack on oil tankers near the territorial waters of the UAE,” Saudi Arabia’s UN ambassador Abdallah al-Mouallimi told the Saudi-owned Al Hadath channel owned television on Friday June 7th.
“We will ensure safety of all ships and oil facilities and we have the ability to prevent any further attacks,” he added.
Al-Mouallimi said that a Saudi report regarding the oil tankers attack was presented to the UN only referred to “technical details not political ones”.
“The US wants to request an emergency Security Council meeting on Iran's attack on four oil tankers near the UAE's territorial waters. The preliminary report on the attack has been accepted by the UN,” Al-Mouallimi declared.
