Sudanese Prime Minister, Mutaaz Mousa, met the Executive Director of Turkish Export and Import Bank, Adnan Yildirim, on December 2nd. In their meeting the two discussed ways of improving the relationship between Sudan and Turkey, especially through economic cooperation.
Mr. Yildirim stated to the press that his visit to Sudan aimed to strengthen the mutual collaboration with the Sudanese private sector, pointing out that the Turkish Export and Import Bank is willing to fund many investment projects in Sudan. For his part, Mr. Mousa expressed his interest in cooperation and his support for the bank’s efforts.
The visit came after a series of high-ranking visits between the two countries that started with the Turkish President Recip Tayyip Erdogan visiting Sudan, followed by visits from the Sudanese president to Turkey and then Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay’s visit to Khartoum two weeks ago.
