Ten people were killed and ten others injured in a shooting on Friday morning at a high school in the southeastern Texas city of Santa Fe.
The gunman, who was arrested and charged with murder, was identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, a 17-year-old pupil at Santa Fe High School. He is believed to be a student.
This is the third school shooting in eight days, and the 22nd since the beginning of the year in the United States.
Vice President Pence said the students, families, teachers and all those affected should know: "'We're with you. You're in our prayers and I know you are in the prayers of the American people."
President Trump added in a tweet that, "Early reports not looking good. God bless all!"
