Prime Minister Theresa May said today, August 14th, that the suspected attack that took place this morning outside the Houses of Parliament is shocking. She warned that the UK's terrorism threat remained severe, according to Reuters.
A man drove a car deliberately into pedestrians and cyclists, said British police. He injured three people, and finally rammed the car into the barriers outside parliament.
In a statement May, who is on holiday abroad, said, "The threat to the United Kingdom from terrorism remains severe. I would urge the public to remain vigilant."
May had regular briefings with security officials throughout the day, according to her spokesperson.
