UAE Communicating with Sudanese Opposition and Military Council

The United Arab Emirates is continuing its communications with the Sudanese opposition and the ruling military council, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday, June 11th.

Minister Anwar Gargash confirmed that the UAE's goal was to support Sudan's stability "and a smooth organised political transition".

Gargash wrote in a tweet, “Our historical, and distinguished relations with the brotherly Sudan are eternal and our permanent endeavour to contribute to the issues of development and stability will continue.” Adding, “Our channels to communicate with all parties are open, our role is coming from a national and Arab perspective, aiming to support stability and organised political transition”.

In another tweet, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs said: “the UAE continues talks with all the components of the Sudanese opposition and with the Transitional Military Council, our good relations, credibility are the ways to contribute to the peaceful transition of the country and its institutions in brotherly Sudan”.
