Thousands from opposition groups in exile in the US rallied to support Iranian people in their quest for regime change on Tuesday September 24th, along with people from the International Convention for the Future of Iran.
They gathered in front of the UN headquarters in New York, as the opening of the annual session of the UN General Assembly took place and called on the international community to oppose Iran’s oppressive, terror-sponsoring theocracy.
Speaking to 7Dnews, Joe Lieberman, a former US senator from Connecticut who attended the rally, praised the international community for holding Iran responsible for the Aramco attack.
Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, accused Iran’s regime of spending half of its money on terrorism while Iranians suffer severe poverty.
In another interview with 7Dnews, Iranian opposition figure Majid Sadeghpour said the people of Iran should be able to choose their regime.
Former New Jersey senator Robert Torricelli, however, thinks the Iranian regime is in its death throes and will not survive being ostracised by the whole world.
