For the last six years, the Sikh community in Dubai has
hosted an interfaith Iftar for Muslims. In this, the designated
year of tolerance in the United Arab Emirates, the Iftar is, for
the first time, offered every day throughout the month, and,
on a regular day more than 150 people come to the
Gurudwara temple in Dubai’s Jebel Ali, to break the fast with
the free vegetarian meal that is served.
