Accusations made by the United Nations Experts Panel against the Arab Coalition are baseless regurgitations of the allegations made in its 2018 report, a statement by the Coalition said, Thursday, September 5th.
The UN’s report is based on biased, subjective, and unauthenticated claims by NGOs, stressed the Coalition. The Arab Coalition has previously warned that the methodology employed by the Panel must be revised, for example, accusations of violating international law in the report are based on mere conjecture and hearsay, without any semblance of hard evidence.
The Arab Coalition said it is committed to investigating any and all violations that may occur during any military operations, and disciplining or punishing any entity convicted of any transgression.
The Coalition said it will later produce a report to legally respond to all allegations mentioned in the UN Experts Panel
“We continue to meet our obligations in accordance with international law, and in coordination with all UN bodies to achieve peace and security in Yemen,” stressed the Arab Coalition’s statement.
