Yellow vest protestors have again taken to the streets of Brussels on December 15th. The original movement, which staged protests in France, has inspired similar demonstrations in Brussels, where Belgian police had to detain hundreds last weekend.
One protestor explained to 7Dnews, “It’s very complicated. There is a crisis, normally government resigns, but they didn’t resign.” The man echoed his French counterparts when saying that government members only “speak of democracy but they don’t use democracy.”
The demonstrators in Brussels called for Belgium’s Prime Minister Charles Michel to resign and the removal of his centre-right coalition government over what the protestor summarised as “totally capitalist politics for the people with a lot of money.”
