The England national football team announced Tuesday December 3rd that they will play two friendlies against Austria in Vienna and Romania at home, respectively, in preparations for the Euro 2020 finals.

AFP reported that Gareth Southgate's team will face Denmark on March 31st. The Three Lions will also play a fixture on March 27th at Wembley, with their opponents yet to be announced.

"The Three Lions will travel to Vienna to face Austria on Tuesday June 2nd, 2020 (7.45pm kick-off UK time) at the Ernst Happel Stadion during their pre-tournament training camp," the FA said in a statement.

The statement also noted that Gareth Southgate's squad will then host the Romanians on June 7th, 2020 at a venue in England.

Austria have booked their place in the Euro 2020 finals in Group C alongside Ukraine, the Netherlands and a play-off winner while Romania are still fighting for a place when they take part in the play-offs in March.

England have been drawn in Group D alongside Croatia and the Czech Republic as well as the winner of the play-off path featuring Scotland, Israel, Norway and Serbia.

All three fixtures will be played at Wembley.
