Croatian forward Ivan Perisic is set to leave Inter Milan and join Bayern Munich on a season long loan deal, reports in German media have confirmed. The 30-year-old was spotted in Munich on Monday and is believed to have a completed a medical at the German club.
Perisic scored the equalizer in Croatia’s 4-1 loss to France in the 2018 World Cup final. He was one of the stars of the tournament and has been linked with a move away from Inter ever since. He was close to joining Arsenal in January this year before the move collapsed.
After failing to sign Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi as well as Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, Bayern have been in search of forwards to fill the gaps left by club legends Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Hudson-Odoi recently agreed a new five-year contract with Chelsea while Sane suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The one season loan deal for the Croatian international may hint at a move back for Sane in the summer.
