The Russian foreign ministry on Thursday November 7th called French President Emmanuel Macron’s controversial remarks on NATO “golden words,” AFP reported.

Macron on Thursday said the NATO suffers a state of “brain death,” adding that the US currently did not coordinate with other alliance members. He accused Washington of turning its back on its NATO allies.

Russian ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova described Macron’s “brain death” comments as “precise definition of the current state” of the 29-member alliance.
