The Saudi Cabinet has affirmed that it stands by Iraq against everything that threatens the country’s security, stability and Arab affiliation.
The Cabinet urged the international community to work to force Iran to respect the sovereignty of states in the Middle East, to respect international laws and treaties, and to stop destabilising the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Saudi Arabia again condemned the Iranian attacks and its violation of Iraqi sovereignty by targeting two Iraqi military bases which host international coalition forces engaged in fighting Isis.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, presided over the session held by the Council of Ministers on Tuesday January 14that Al Yamama Palace.
The Cabinet also expressed the Kingdom's strong condemnation of the bombing of a mosque in southwest Pakistan, which led to a number of deaths and injuries. It stressed the Kingdom's refusal accept anything that violates the sanctity of God's house, especially with bloodshed and intimidation.
