US President Donald Trump described his meeting with North Korean President Kim Jong Un as “Great”, adding through his official Twitter account that he is looking forward to seeing the North Korean president soon.
"In the meantime, our teams will be meeting to work on some solutions to very long term and persistent problems," Trump wrote on Monday, June 1st. "No rush, but I am sure we will ultimately get there!" he said.
According to North Korea's state media, both leaders agreed to begin work on reaching a breakthrough in the denuclearisation talks regarding the Korean peninsula.
The US president also revealed that he invited the North Korean leader to visit the US, adding that "at some point it will all happen".
"Anytime he wants to do it. I think we want to take this down to the next step, let's see what happens," said Trump.
