The Cairo International Film Festival had its first day of events, and there were a number of activities.
Workshops started under the umbrella of Cairo Film connection and Cairo industry days on various subjects, such as film production, TV production and screenwriting.
The competition of Arab Cinema Horizon kicked off with a Tunisian film called ‘A Son,’ and the film cast walked onto the red carpet for its premiere.
The highlight of that day’s film screenings was the rerun of Martin Scorsese’s latest film ‘The Irishman’ for free for Egyptian audiences.
And, last but not least, 7Dnews’s Cairo team took a tour of the side exhibition, ‘Cairo, Je t’aime,’ where miniatures of Cairo’s landmarks were exhibited, along with mixed reality visual aids.
