UAE and UN Draft Action Plan to Protect Religious Sites

In the aftermath of the recent terror attacks in New Zealand and Sri Lanka, the High Representative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, His Excellency Miguel Angel Moratinos, accepted the invitation of His Excellency Shaykh Abdallah Bin Bayyah, President of the Forum for Promoting Peace and Chairperson of the United Arab Emirates Fatwa Council, to come to Abu Dhabi. The agenda for their meeting on July 3rd and 4th is to discuss the protection of religious sites and draft an action plan to achieve the former. The drafted action plan is to be presented to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, at the end of July.
